One Beat USA
ONE BEAT USA is a journey through the musical identities of fourteen American cities. Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Atlanta, Nashville, Memphis, Baltimore, Seattle, Washington D.C., Houston, San Francisco, Honolulu and Miami share a common pulse of house, deep house and acid house. Each stop draws a colour from its city’s musical history: soul, funk, country, blues, hip-hop, rock, brass or island guitars. These references are artistic starting points, brought together in an album made for movement and the collective energy of a festival.
