Mirage Fade

I walk where winds erase my trace,
Sand clings softly to my face.
Your eyes glow like burning coal,
You brush me - then you lose control.

Slip through my hands,
Like a mirage fades.
Fleeting heat,
Lost in desert shade.

Distant voices drift and bend,
Your breath is where the mornings end.
One sigh more and I am gone - Twilight swallows all the dawn.

Slip through my hands,
Like a mirage fades.
Fleeting heat,
Lost in desert shade.

Leave me beneath a dying star...
Only you, only how far.
